DESCRIPTION:Mathematics and its sister subject of Astronomy is the oldest 
 intellectual creation of mankind.  Yet it  remains in vigorous health\, st
 ill in contact with its ancient roots but constantly expanding its horizon
 s. Each generation makes its own distinctive contribution. I will describe
  how it succeeds in maintaining its youthful spirit.\n\nA complimentary dr
