DESCRIPTION:The talk will give an overview on political network studies in
  general and quantitative political network studies in particular\, especi
 ally in the area of international relations and European Union politics. T
 he talk will locate political network analysis in the epistemological land
 scape of science and will deal with the key question\, if "relationalism" 
 could be a background theory or philosophy of network studies. It will dis
 cuss the implications and problems associated with this type of theory bui
 lding in network research.\n\nThe talk will be chaired by Dr Mette Eilstru
 p-Sangiovanni.\n
