DESCRIPTION:With Parallel Coordinates the perceptual barrier imposed by ou
 r 3-dimensional habitation is breached enabling the visualisation of multi
 dimensional problems. In this talk a panorama of highlights from the found
 ations to the most recent results\, interlaced with applications and inter
 active demonstrations\, will be intuitively developed. The parallel coordi
 nates methodology is used in collision avoidance and conflict resolution a
 lgorithms for air traffic control (3 USA patents)\, computer vision (USA p
 atent)\, data mining (USA patent) for data exploration and automatic class
 ification\, post-analysis of optimisation processes\, process control and 
 elsewhere.
