DESCRIPTION:This talk should be of interest to those who either have backg
round in analysis or to ones who want to find out how analysis can be appl
ied to real life problems.\n\nIn this talk we will introduce Wiener-Hopf m
ethod with its applications\, in particular to certain acoustic problems.
Some difficulties and current limitations of the methods will be described
as well as possible ways to overcome them. \n\nThose Wiener-Hopf method
have deep connections to many areas in analysis like Hankel and Topletz op
 erators\, meromorphic and AAK approximation.
