 gether leading experts in the participatory approach to international deve
 lopment and software development fields\;\n\nProf. Robert Chambers: “Sin
 ce the 1980s\, he has been one of the leading advocates for putting the po
 or\, destitute and marginalised at the centre of the processes of developm
 ent policy. The widespread acceptance of a "participatory" approach is in 
 part due to his work” David Simon–‘Fifty key thinkers in development
 ’\n\nDr Alistair Cockburn: is an expert in what is called agile developm
 ent\, co-authoring the Manifesto for Agile Software Development and the pr
 oject leadership Declaration of Inter-dependence. He wrote the Jolt-Produc
 tivity Award winning book on the subject\, Agile Software Development and 
 was named one of “The All-Time Top 150 i-Technology Heroes” in 2007.\n
 \nWhile participatory approaches in international development and Agile de
 velopment share similar outlooks\, the two sets of thinking have not yet b
 een directly compared. This event will spark a new dialogue and inspire fu
 rther thinking. \n  \nThe audience will be invited to participate in the d
