DESCRIPTION:The Frankel conjecture\, as proved by Mori and Siu-Yau\, state
 s that complex projective space can be characterized as a complex manifold
 \nby a local curvature condition\, namely the positivity of the bisectiona
 l curvature.  I will discuss an extension of this to Sasaki geometry (an o
 dd-dimensional companion of Kahler geometry). In particular\, this yields 
 an\norbifold version of the Frankel conjecture.\nThis talk is based on a j
 oint work with Weiyong He.
