DESCRIPTION:This seminar series presents an introductory survey of Compute
 r Science. It’s designed for beginners of Computer Science as well as st
 udents from other disciplines.\nStarting from the assumption that attendee
 s understand how to create and work with scalar\, vector and matrix variab
 les\, this week's talk looks at MATLAB scripts and MATLAB functions\, show
 ing how the editor may be used when writing code\, how code may be changed
  iteratively\, and how MATLAB functions may be debugged.  The session will
  also introduce the MATLAB publisher\, showing how to generate html  and p
 df output\, among other formats\, and will also touch on the MATLAB profil
 er\, for those who wonder where all the time is going when their functions
  take an age to run.
