DESCRIPTION:A pyrotechnic mixture has been printed with a screen printing
technique. The ink could be used as a delayline material for mining detona
tors. The thick ink possesses a self-sustainable burn when screen-printed
and dried. The ink rheology can be altered by for example changing its sol
vent content or modifying the pyrotechnic. The effect of the changes on th
e functional properties has been demonstrated with thermal analysis and a
high-speed imaging technique. The burning reaction can be initiated with h
eat. Alternatively\, an ignition element which is printed on the energetic
line enables shock-tube initiation of the line.
