DESCRIPTION:Using focused ion-beam milling\, we demonstrate the micro-fabr
ication of spherical and aspherical-profile mirrors of various footprints:
circular\, square\, hexagonal\, rectangular. The very good control of the
lateral and depth dimensions allow for control over the focusing properti
es\, such that mirrors with diameters ranging from 1 to 10 m can be des
igned and milled with focal lengths at the same position with respect to t
he substrate surface. With modern lithographic systems and current generat
ions of sample stages\, ion microscopes are ideal for producing master mol
ds for stamping polymeric microlenses used in imaging detectors and other
 light management applications.\n
