DESCRIPTION:Cross section ratios between different V+jets processes\, wher
e V represents an EW gauge boson\, often allows both for robust theoretica
l predictions as well as measurements with high experimental precision. Th
is makes them important in the search for new physics at the LHC\, where t
hey can either directly probe effects from new physics or be used to calib
rate background processes for various searches. The related measurements a
nd methods used in the ATLAS experiment will be discussed\, where a few mo
re advanced cases are addressed in more detail.
