DESCRIPTION: We study random walks on so-called multigraph ensembles\, a\n
 specific class of random graphs relevant to theories of causal\nquantum gr
 avity. In particular\, we investigate the spectral\ndimension of the graph
  ensemble for recurrent as well as\ntransient walks. Furthermore\, the con
 cept of scale dependent\nspectral dimension is introduced and models with 
 different\nspectral dimension at different scales are analysed. We\nconclu
 de by discussing a specific model relevant to quantum\ngravity which has a
  spectral dimension of four at large\nscales and two at small scales. The 
 talk is based on work\ndone in collaboration with G. Giasemidis and J. Whe
 ater at Oxford.\n\nNo prior knowledge on quantum gravity is required.\n
