DESCRIPTION:Professor Fearon's research has helped describe how the body's
  immune system functions to fight pathogenic invaders and provide long las
 ting immunological memory. This knowledge is now being applied to investig
 ate\nthe immunological milieu present within the tumour microenvironment. 
 Professor Fearon will be discussing the functioning of the immune system i
 n cancer\, and provide insight into both the challenges and therapeutic\np
 otential of such knowledge.
