DESCRIPTION:I will be discussing the computation of superstring scattering
  amplitudes in the presence of D-branes and orientifold planes. The result
 s encode certain terms in the low energy effective actions of space-time f
 ields localized on branes/planes. I will describe some of these interactio
 ns and show how they restore compatibility with T-duality.
