SUMMARY:Do's and Don'ts in Chemistry-Climate Modelling - Dr Peter Braesick
e\, Department of Chemistry\, University of Cambridge
DTSTART:20120301T161500Z

CONTACT:Dr Alex Archibald
DESCRIPTION:I will discuss the current status of chemistry-climate models
and their applications. Questions raised will include: Are the current mod
els fit for purpose? Are the scales considered right? How far can models b
e pushed to answer questions of societal importance? How can we assess and
propagate uncertainties better\, and communicate results clearly to polic
y makers and the public? Examples will be drawn from applications of the U
nified Model (UM) with the UK chemistry and aerosol (UKCA) module and will
be used to create a perspective of what we need to achieve in the coming
 years.
