DESCRIPTION:Indirect measurements such as flavour-changing weak decays pla
yed an important\nrole in the construction of the Standard Model of partic
le physics.\nRare flavour-violating decays also provide a very sensitive p
robe of degrees\nof freedom beyond the Standard Model\, wich are widely ex
pected to exist in the\nTeV mass range. I will review the theory of B deca
ys and how it can be used\nto access fundamental parameters\, such as\, fo
r instance\, SUSY-breaking terms\nin the MSSM Lagrangian or "fermion geome
try" in models of warped extra dimensions\,\nand describe current work to
exploit some of the flagship measurements of the\nLHCb experiment in these
  contexts.
