DESCRIPTION:I will discuss how microlensing from line-of-sight galaxies in
multiply imaged quasars can be used to constrain the mass fraction in mas
sive compact objects. The statistics of microlensing events\, which have b
een used to determine the mass fraction in smoothly distributed dark matte
r versus small compact objects\, can also place limits on populations of i
ntermediate-mass black holes. This method can be used to derive a new cons
traint on massive primordial black holes and may also have implications fo
r studies of black hole merger histories.
