 t gives students and professionals the chance to interact with representat
 ives from a range of organisations in Global Health\, learning more about 
 their work and potential opportunities for involvement.\n\nLord Nigel Cris
 p will be giving a keynote speech on Friday 9th March from 6:30-8:30pm\, a
 s well as opening the exhibition on Saturday 10 March. \n\nAt the exhibiti
 on\, representatives from a range of organisations in global health will i
 nteract with students and professionals\, who are interested in learning m
 ore about their organisational approach\, and their opportunities for invo
 lvement.  \n\nOrganisations represented will range from\n\n·       multil
 aterals (like WHO)\,\n\n·       to private sector Pharma companies who ar
 e doing    R&D in infectious diseases of poverty\,\n\n·       to internat
 ional NGOs and private consultancies with global health programmes\,\n\n·
        to UK-based universities with global health research and teaching p
 rogrammes\,\n\n·       and more!\n\nThe full list of participating organi
 sations and their opportunities for involvement (volunteer/intern/professi
 onal) are coming soon to the Humanitarian Centre’s website and this page
 .\n \nThere will be a series of “ignite” style presentations by leadin
 g global health thinkers\, which will present challenges in global health\
 , and help attendees to frame insightful questions to ask the representati
 ves.\n\nDuring the exhibition we will also be holding the Official 2012 Ca
 mbridge Aid for Health Simulation\, where students\, trained by mentors fr
 om WHO\, DFID\, USAID\, the Department of Health\, and others and will tak
 e part in a simulated aid negotiation set in a developing country.  “Pre
 ss passes” will be available during the exhibition\, to observe an aid n
 egotiation in action!\n\n*This is a great event for anyone who aspires to 
 a career in Global Health\, to network with international\, UK and Cambrid
 ge-based health organisations from across sectors and subsectors - multila
 terals\, biomedical publishing\, SMEs\, consultancies\, INGOs\, NGOs...*\n
 \nThe Cambridge Global Health Year brings together individuals and organis
 ations - from across disciplines\, sectors\, and countries - to explore ap
 propriate approaches to pressing global health issues.\n \nLord Nigel Cris
 p is an independent crossbench member in the House of Lords\, and mainly w
 orks on international development and Global Health. Between 2003 - 2006\,
  he was the Chief Executive of the NHS and Permanent Secretary of the UK D
 epartment of Health. Throughout this time\, he led major reforms of the En
