 igh transaction costs. Therefore\, the promotion of energy efficient impro
 vements in this sector requires social change\, as well as technical innov
 ation. The EEBE research programme and LessEn intiatives are working toget
 her to achieve this by facilitating knowledge exchange between research\, 
 business\, and policy makers in order to gain common perspectives and driv
 e awareness. Such work has provided valuable opportunities to enrich the d
 ebate and take leadership. This seminar provides a brief overview of some 
 of the more recent work conducted.
