 il she came to Cambridge a year ago\, *Clare Foster* was a British screenw
 riter based in LA. Tonight\, she will be at CRASSH to share her thoughts o
 n and experience of the theoretical and practical aspects of adaptation.\n
 \nClare has worked with Mike Newell and Kristin Scott Thomas for companies
  like Disney\, Film Four and Fox Searchlight. She has adapted novels by Jo
 hn Updike\, Elizabeth Jane Howard\, Sebastian Faulks and non-fiction by No
 rman Lewis\, Flora Fraser\, and Debra Kogan. Her original screenplays and 
 treatments have won awards\, been optioned\, and developed. Her short film
  ‘The Lemon Tree’ won awards at Mesnil-le-Roi\, Malta and San Sebastia
 n films festivals. Her background before film school was in theatre.\n\nTh
 e seminar will start at 5 for 5.15pm and take place on the CRASSH premises
 \, followed by a Q&A.\n\nAll welcome\, no registration required.
