DESCRIPTION:A topic model is a probabilistic generative model for extracti
 ng a\nlatent structure from discrete data such as text document. Topic\nmo
 dels are successfully used in a wide variety of applications\nincluding in
 formation retrieval\, collaborative filtering and image\nrecognition. In t
 his talk\, first I will present basics of topic\nmodelling\, such as relat
 ions with other probabilistic models\, and\ninference. Then\, I will prese
 nt three applications of topic modelling:\nvisualisation\, social annotati
 on data analysis\, and multi-scale\ndynamics analysis\, which I worked on 
 recent years.
