DESCRIPTION:This talk is in two halves. In the first part\, I will present
  some recent joint work on the connectome of the pigeon forebrain and its 
 associated network analysis. In the second part\, which concerns some very
  new work\, I will introduce a measure that captures the extent to which a
  network has a "knotty centre"\, a feature of brain networks in particular
