DESCRIPTION:Lord Andrew Mawson is one of the foremost social entrepreneurs
  in the UK and we're delighted to welcome him to Cambridge. He will be tal
 king about business that benefits the community\, especially in an era whe
 re a lot of public funding is no longer available.\n\nLord Mawson is passi
 onate about social entrepreneurship: "We often can’t see what is right i
 n front of our noses. When Tesco arrived in Bromley-by-Bow\, East London\,
  shortly after I had arrived as a young Minister in the neighbourhood some
  thirty years ago\, many didn’t see the benefits of entrepreneurial part
 nerships even though we had 39% unemployment at the time and a real need f
 or work opportunity. My passion to make a lasting difference began with lo
 cal people and their stories\, and not with policies\, statistics and theo
 ry. \n\nI began building my sense of place by walking the streets\, visiti
 ng the markets\, the schools\, and the businesses\, to understand what was
  happening in our community to keep it from fulfilling its potential. \n\n
 To register: This event is open to members of: Cambridge Network\, Cambrid
 geshire Chamber of Commerce and the Chaplaincy to the People at Work\, who
  may attend free of charge. For all others the £50+VAT charge applies (or
  you might want to consider joining one of the organisations!).\n\nTimings
 : Registration is from 6.00pm with the talk starting at 6.30pm lasting for
  approx 1 hour\, including Q&A. There will be a light refreshments and an 
 opportunity to network after the event\, which we estimate will end around
