 perception of literature? On Wednesday Cambridge University Russian Societ
 y isorganizing a talk by Vladimir Sevrinovsky\, translator of poetry from 
 Englishinto Russian. \n\nVladimir is the winner of the international conte
 st of poetry translators "Pushkinin Britain-2011”. He has translated man
 y poems by Shel Silverstein\, EdwardThomas\, Charles Causley and other aut
 hors. \n\n\nThis talk will be about translators' mistakes - sad and funny\
 , bad and wonderful. Some of them ruined translations\, others made them b
 etter than originals.You'll learn how bad knowledge of English helped Push
 kin\, how Lermontov changed sex of Heine's character and about eternal str
