DESCRIPTION:We live in a complex and cluttered world\, where objects are o
 ften related and share complex interactions. As acquisition devices improv
 e and become economical\, sensing the surrounding world will increasingly 
 become cheaper. This\, however\, comes at the cost of increased data volum
 es\, without necessarily providing any real understanding of the incoming 
 information.\n\nIn this talk\, I will provide an overview my research on s
 hape analysis over the last few years\, culminating into recently formulat
 ed constrained mesh framework. As recent examples\, I will talk about smar
 t interactive images\, function-aware furniture design\, initial steps tow
