DESCRIPTION:An "axiverse" is a generic prediction of string theory\, altho
ugh the axions are typically extremely hard to detect\, and sometimes may
not actually solve the strong CP problem. I shall discuss how the axiverse
is realised in the LARGE volume scenario\, including what the axion coupl
ings are\, whether they can be detected\, how the QCD axion can arise - an
d also how to build models with an additional axion-like particle that cou
ld explain some intriguing astrophysical anomalies. \n\n
