DESCRIPTION:It is well known that \, as opposed to the non-relativistic ca
 se\, particles described by the Dirac operator can not be confined through
  electric potential walls. However\, one can produce a strongly confined s
 ystem by adding a magnetic field growing at infinity. In this talk I will 
 present some results describing confinement-deconfinement transitions of t
 wo-dimensional Dirac particles obtained by modulating the electro-magnetic
  field at infinity. \n\nThis is joint work with Josef Mehringer.\n\n
