DESCRIPTION:Supersymmetric theories solve the hierarchy problem chiefly by
virtue\nof a partner for the top quark\, the stop\, which contributes to
the Higgs mass\ncorrection an equal amount with the opposite sign. The nec
essary soft breaking\nof supersymmetry makes the cancellation incomplete\,
with unnaturalness\nreturning as the stop is decoupled. This leads us to
consider stops as light as\npossible\, subject to the extra constraint of
the now observed Higgs mass of\n~126 GeV. However we will show how 'maxima
 l mixing' of the stops\, while\nminimising their masses\, contributes a ne
w source of fine-tuning that is in\nfact dominant. Lagrange constrained ma
ximisation of analytic expressions for\nthe Higgs-stop interactions explic
itly shows the optimal scenario to be\nnear-maximal mixing. We explain why
the splitting between the two stop mass\neigenstates is entirely unconstr
ained. We introduce the NMSSM and\nexplain its potential utility and limit
ations for boosting the Higgs mass\nnaturally.
