DESCRIPTION:We construct stationary solutions for Burgers equation with ra
 ndom forcing in the absence of periodicity or any other compactness assump
 tions. In particular\, for the forcing given by a homogeneous Poissonian p
 oint field in space-time we prove that there is a unique global solution w
 ith any prescribed average velocity. We also discuss connections with the 
 theory of directed polymers in dimension 1+1 and the KPZ scalings.\n
