DESCRIPTION:In this talk\, I will take you on a fieldwork journey to Mozam
 bique to discover the peculiarities of a Bantu language named Makhuwa. Wha
 t is so special about its word order? And how can you use the verb inflect
 ion to stress the most important information? After examining some of the 
 fascinating data\, I discuss how they can contribute to a universal theory
  of grammar.
