DESCRIPTION:We will present different results related to the speed of bias
ed random\nwalks in random environments. Our main focus will be on a recen
t paper (by Ben Arous\,\nFribergh and Sidoravicius) proving that the speed
of the biased random walk on a\nGalton-Watson tree without leaves is incr
easing for high biases. This partially\naddresses a question asked by Lyon
 s\, Pemantle and Peres.
