  New York)

DESCRIPTION:This is advance notice of this seminar. Dr Califano’s lab h
ave been leaders in the development of biochemically validated genome-wide
maps of transcriptional and post-transcriptional interaction in several h
uman cell contexts\, including different cancer types and normal and tumou
r-related stem cells. The Califano lab integrates the development of anal
ytical methodologies with high-throughput experimental assays for data gen
eration and biological/biochemical validation. In particular\, the lab ha
ve developed the “master regulator” concept in human tumours and the
“bottleneck” hypothesis of master regulator function in glioma. Recen

 spects of this field.
