DESCRIPTION:One of the greatest mysteries in the whole of physics is the p
 rospect that at present 75% of the universe is made from a mysterious subs
 tance known as ‘Dark Energy’\, which causes an acceleration of the cos
 mic expansion.  The lecture will review the current evidence for Dark Ener
 gy and current and future international projects\, in particular the ‘Da
 rk Energy Survey’\, which has just achieved its first light on the Blanc
 o Telescope in Chile.\n
