DESCRIPTION:Are married couples really so similar? Is your choice of partn
 er different from your choice in opposite-sex friends? Using a unique comb
 ination of personality scores and Facebook profile information of 145\,000
  individuals\, we estimated the amount of actual personality similarity be
 tween different romantic couples. Ratings of personality were assessed usi
 ng the Facebook application MyPersonality\, employing the Big five IPIP sc
 ale and different statistical measures of similarity. We benchmarked these
  trends against the similarity for same and opposite-sex friends and popul
 ation means. Is personality the deal breaker in romance? Can we use this i
 nformation in other applications? Find out in this talk.
