unity and the environment\, Taiwan’s Ministry of Education Advisory Offi
ce have implemented the “Program of Futures Imagination and Creativity i
n Education” (2011 ~ 2014). The program focuses on seven issues and has
six action plans. An empirical field study investigating the program’s i
nitiatives and perceived impact in compulsory education level had been con
ducted in Taiwan in 2011. By employing the research methods of interviews\
, observations and surveys\, evidence revealed that the program had some i
mpact on Taiwan’s education system. The perceived impact of FICE had bee
n reported on the aspects of the governmental policy promotion\, schooling
and curriculum practice\, as well as educator’s teaching and pupil’s
learning. Some faced dilemma and suggestions will also be discussed in the
