DESCRIPTION:Time-resolved genomic data provide a valuable insight into rap
idly evolving populations. However\, identifying the effects of selection
from such data is not always straightforward\, particularly where alleles
at multiple genetic loci are simultaneously under selection. I describe a
method for estimating the strength of selection acting at multiple polymo
rphic loci\, and discuss its use to evaluate selection\, and between-allel
e interference effects\, in the evolution of the seasonal influenza virus
 H3N2.
