DESCRIPTION:The Jochim group have isolated and trapped between one and ten
  fermionic atoms. When tuned into the strongly repulsive regime the atoms 
 display ferromagnetic correlations. We present Variational Monte Carlo cal
 culations to critically analyze the experimental signatures and probe a co
 mpeting loss process.
