DESCRIPTION:\nThis seminar will report the results on an intervention in w
 hich children were taught about randomness\, sample space\, and the quanti
 fication of probabilities. Their performance in tasks assessing understand
 ing of these concepts was compared to the performance of two groups\, one 
 that participated in problem solving sessions working on problems that did
  not involve randomness and one unseen control group. Results showed signi
 ficant gains by the intervention group in all the measures.
