DESCRIPTION:This lecture will aim to inform on the role of consultancies w
 ithin the UK Nuclear Industry.  It will look at the size of the industry\,
  and the role it plays in keeping the lights on\, its contribution to deco
 mmissioning\, as well as briefly touching on work done for the UK naval nu
 clear market.\nThe benefits consultancies bring to the industry will be di
 scussed.  The risks of bringing in consultancy support\, and how they can 
 be managed by both parties\, will also be covered.  The lecture will then 
 move on to give some examples of some engineering projects\, both large an
 d small\, where engineering consultancies have supported the UK nuclear ge
 neration industry.\n
