DESCRIPTION:Given a set of sites in space\, how can we model their possibl
e interactions? This is a problem encountered in many fields including geo
 graphy\, economics\, transport\, communications\, town planning\, and arch
aeology. The network of interactions may then be used to make predictions
or to fill in missing data. I highlight the common features and different
choices seen in the large number of models in this area. In particular I w
ill discuss the recent Radiation model of Simini\, Barabasi and colleagues
. Finally I will ask how can we compare different models of spatial networ
