DESCRIPTION:I will present some of the trendiest issues in complex network
s science.\nMy focus will be in recent results obtained in our group conce
rning time dependent networks and multilayered networks.\nIn the first cas
e\, time dependence is due to mobility of the nodes on a plane. Spectral p
roperties\, in terms of eigenvalues of the Laplacian matrix\, are describe
d as a function of the mobility and internal dynamical properties of the n
odes.\nIn the second case\, we show some results about networks configured
at different layers\; in particular\, how the diffusion in the whole netw
ork depends on the properties of the single networks and on those of the c
onnectivity among layers.\n\nBio:\nAlbert Diaz-Guilera got a PhD in Scienc
es (Physics) at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona in 1987. Being by educa
tion a statistical physicist\, his research lines had been broadening to c
over aspects in many different fields: biology\, economy\, social sciences
\, computer science\, linguistics. Direct collaborations with scientists w
ith different backgrounds have been possible by means of stays in differen
t centers. Author of more than 80 articles in physics and interdisciplinar
y journals. He has given more than one hundred talks at conferences and re
search centres and leads the catalan complexity group complexitat CAT.\n
