DESCRIPTION:The study of human evolution has been transformed in recent ye
 ars by the range of approaches - from archaeology and anthropology\, to ge
 netics\, to ecology and palaeoecology\, to psychology and cognitive scienc
 e - which are now possible. Not only does this mean we know more\, but we 
 are also able to ask new questions about our past. This talk will explore 
 some of these developments and the new perspectives they provide for recon
 structing the evolutionary history of the human species.\n\n
