DESCRIPTION:Insights into the molecular interactions in biochemical pathwa
ys is critical in biological discovery\, for example in uncovering the des
ign principles of biological organisms\, understanding how diseases develo
p or discovering novel or more potent drugs.\nNovel data mining protocols
for network analysis are presented and involve computational representatio
n of network properties\, integration of data from various sources and mat
hematical techniques to detect modules in protein networks. The use of dat
a classification methods is also discussed in deriving disease subgroups w
ith similar gene expression signatures in skin inflammation. Overall\, suc
h methods have the potential to enhance understanding of mechanisms in pat
hological conditions\, as well as to offer a comprehensive view of disease
  network dynamics.
