DESCRIPTION:Pat inherited a cat colony here at Madingley some 40 years ago
 . He and Prill Barrett conducted a descriptive study of play in cats and P
 at had a number of graduate students working on cats over the years. One o
 f the students was Paul Martin. Pat and Paul planned to write a book about
  play but various things got in the way until recently. They finally compl
 eted their book and it will appear in the summer. Pat's talk will summaris
 e their main conclusions.
