DESCRIPTION:Cambridge Curiosity and Imagination (CCI) works with creative
practitioners to inspire and enrich communities through first-hand imagina
tive and sensory experiences. CCI has explored and developed a range of r
eflection and evaluation tools as they’ve worked in partnership with the
public\, private and voluntary sectors and with people of all ages and fr
om all backgrounds in very diverse settings (in galleries\, museums\, wood
 lands\, hospitals\, schools\, nurseries\, with property developers and eve
n our local waste management centre!). This seminar by CCI’s Director R
uth Sapsed will share some of these (4.30 – 5.30pm) with a participatory
discussion after (5.30-6pm).\n\nRuth Sapsed has worked with arts organisa
tions for 20 years (Glyndebourne Opera\, Cambridge Arts Theatre\, and Hoip
olloi amongst others). She has been a part of Cambridge Curiosity and Imag
ination since its founding 10 years ago\, establishing a significant reput
ation for the work’s capacity to involve children and families as co-res
earchers engaging in big ideas. CCI have run a number of professional deve
lopment courses for educators with colleagues (Pam Burnard\, Mandy Swann a
nd Mary Jane Drummond) at the Faculty since 2007. Ruth also works as co-or
