DESCRIPTION:This talk will focus on conversation in dementia\, because alt
 hough it is a common communication problem\, it is one that has been given
  little attention.  As typical conversation can be a difficult thing to ac
 hieve in dementia\, there is an opportunity for technology to assist indiv
 iduals in maintaining more satisfying relationships through the augmentati
 on of conversation.  I will outline how conversation can be valuable for t
 hose with dementia\, what the obstacles are\, and what role technology can
  play in ameliorating these problems.
