DESCRIPTION:I shall describe my work this year in extending Mark Ashdown's
  Escritoire\,\nthe desk-sized projected display in the Rainbow Room. It pr
 esents electronic\ndocuments as life-sized sheets of virtual paper and use
 s stylus input.\n\nI aimed to extend the Escritoire to address many of the
  problems associated\nwith reading from multiple electronic source documen
 ts. I will discuss the\nproblem of recognising hand gestures on a projecte
 d display\, and describe\nhow hand gestures can be used to organise and na
 vigate virtual paper\ndocuments.
