DESCRIPTION:OPPF-UK was established in 2002 with funding from the MRC and
renewed in 2005 and 2008 with support from the MRC and BBSRC. OPPF-UK is l
ocated adjacent to Diamond Light source in the Research Complex at Harwell
\, this is a multi-disciplinary research “hotel” managed by the MRC on
behalf of the UK research councils.\nOur remit is to apply high-throughpu
t cloning and expression screening technologies to the production of prote
ins in E.coli\, insect and mammalian cells. While the proteins produced a
re largely used for crystallisation we also purify proteins for antibody p
roduction and functional studies.\nIn this talk I will illustrate the appl
ication of our technologies to a diverse range of projects.
