DESCRIPTION:I will review the use of higher spin symmetry in conformal fie
 ld theories (CFTs). First\, I will demonstrate that the theory is essentia
 lly free when the higher spin symmetry is present. Then I will discuss dif
 ferent ways of breaking the higher spin symmetry. This will lead to the id
 ea of 3d bosonization and prediction of certain critical exponents in the 
 3d Ising model.
