 ve on money and the current financial system. The economic crises of the 2
 1st century have led to a lot of people questioning our current system. Th
 e speakers will be discussing such issues\, and shed some light on what Is
 lam says about this topic.\n\nTimothy Winter has been named Britain's most
  influential Muslim by the Independent. He is currently the Shaykh Zayed L
 ecturer of Islamic Studies in the Faculty of Divinity at Cambridge Univers
 ity and Director of Studies in Theology at Wolfson College. He has publish
 ed and contributed to numerous academic works on Islam and is a leading fi
 gure in inter-faith activity. He is well-known as a contributor to BBC Rad
 io 4’s ‘Thought for the Day’. \n\nTarek El Diwany is a writer and co
 nsultant in Islamic banking and finance. Between 1996 and 1998 he headed t
 he Islamic Finance department at Prebon Yamane in London\, having previous
 ly established an OTC bond derivatives dealing operation for the same comp
