DESCRIPTION:Four years ago Wadsley proved that pseudo-null modules of Iwas
 awa algebras\nof finite-by-nilpotent pro-p groups had trivial Euler charac
 teristic.\nFollowing this\, he proposed a conjecture on the Euler characte
 ristics of\nmodules of low dimension. In this talk we shall give the backg
 round to this\nconjecture\, including a brief overview of these algebras\,
  discuss problems\nthat arise in trying to generalise Wadsley's methods to
  the soluble case\, and\ndescribe what can be said after we have navigated
  them.
